Some 30 Tcf of non-associated gas opened to private capital Venezuela holds between 193 and 200.37 Tcf of proven natural gas reserves, the largest in South America and among the top ten worldwide. Between 80% and 85% is associated gas, produced alongside crude oil in the east and the Faja; non-associated gas, some 30 Tcf, is concentrated in offshore basins.
