Bancaribe has made it possible for users to apply to open a bank account digitally, using their national identity card as the only mandatory requirement.

Through this method, customers can join the financial system in a few minutes and access payment methods and digital services to manage their everyday transactions from the institution's website, via the 'Hazte cliente' (Become a client) option.

This Level 1 Checking Account is designed to handle frequent consumer transactions and allows monthly transfers of up to 1,000 times the highest published exchange rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela, the bank said.

Separately, the Central Bank of Venezuela reported that the exchange rate that will govern economic transactions will be 888.89 bolívares to the dollar, while the euro has been set at 989.38 bolívares, according to data published by the outlet Contrapunto.
