International hotel chains show interest in investing in Venezuela
International hotel chains and business groups have expressed interest in coming to invest in the country.

International hotel chains and business groups have expressed interest in coming to invest in the country, according to the portal AlbertoNews, which reported it on October 22, 2026. Alberto Vieira, president of the National Federation of Hotels of Venezuela (Fenahoven), said there are contacts with these investors and that several groups of foreign businesspeople are expected to arrive between November and early December to explore opportunities in the sector.
The trade group leader said Caracas has a formal hotel supply of between 26,000 and 30,000 beds. In this regard, he compared the figure with Bogotá, a city with 70,000 beds, and warned that current capacity is insufficient to accommodate investors, executives or workers linked to the hydrocarbons industry.
In parallel, the hotel sector is seeking to revive tourist supply and serve corporate niches, an effort that ties in with financial initiatives aimed at commercial reconstruction in affected areas such as the coastal strip of La Guaira, according to information published by the outlet Descifrado. For its part, El Nacional recently reported that the oil sector projects investments of $76 billion over the next five years, a volume of resources that increases demand for lodging infrastructure and services for corporate personnel.
