Drop in Ecopetrol oil transfers in Colombia pushes deficit to 5.3%

Ecopetrol reported an 11% decline in its profit and royalty transfers to the Colombian state due to lower international crude prices.

The Ministry of Finance adjusted its projection for the national fiscal deficit to 5.3% of GDP for 2026.
