Caribbean Airlines will resume commercial flights between Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela starting October 31, according to the outlet Caribbean News Digital. The move seeks to restore direct air connectivity between the two neighboring countries to facilitate business, leisure and family travel, thereby boosting trade in the region.
Regional air connectivity serves as a key channel for the flow of people and goods, reducing transport costs and enabling greater commercial integration between neighboring economies. For productive and tourism sectors, having direct routes avoids costly stopovers and speeds up travel times.
Alongside this announcement, the company confirmed the launch of a nonstop service connecting the island of Tobago with Toronto starting October 25, as well as a series of charter flights between Puerto España and Panama starting December 1, consolidating its network optimization strategy in the Caribbean.
