The National Council of Commerce and Services (Consecomercio) urged businesses across the country to respect the working-hour limits set out in the Organic Labor and Workers' Law (LOTTT).

The National Council of Commerce and Services (Consecomercio) urged businesses across the country to respect the working-hour limits set out in the Organic Labor and Workers' Law (LOTTT)
The LOTTT is the legal framework governing labor relations in Venezuela, setting maximum limits for daytime, nighttime and mixed shifts, as well as the conditions for overtime pay and mandatory rest periods for workers.
The statement by the sector's leadership seeks to reaffirm the validity of these rules in a sector marked by a high share of small and medium-sized businesses that face operational pressures and rising costs in their day-to-day running.
Compliance with labor legislation has a direct impact on the stability of workforces in the services sector, which is one of the largest private employers in the country's urban areas.
