Donald Trump insults CNN and ABC News reporters in Washington
U.S. President Donald Trump insulted two reporters on Wednesday as he left the White House.

U.S. President Donald Trump insulted two reporters on Wednesday as he left the White House, according to the outlet AlbertoNews. The reporters asked him about the release of American professor Stephen James Hubbard and its connection to the recent easing of sanctions imposed on Moscow.
In response to a question from Kaitlan Collins, a CNN reporter, the president said she had a low IQ and called her stupid. Later, when another reporter from ABC News raised the same issue, Trump called her a stupid person and criticized her television network.
Hours before these incidents, the president himself had confirmed through his social network Truth Social that Hubbard's release was linked to his decision not to impose new economic sanctions on Russia. According to the president, the measure was meant to keep diplomatic negotiations from stalling completely.
This episode adds to other recent clashes between the U.S. administration and the press. The previous day, Trump confronted a reporter from The Independent in the Oval Office, and during his second term he has engaged in several verbal altercations with reporters aboard the presidential plane and at official events.
