Farmatodo begins CrediTodo pilot program in Venezuela
The pharmacy chain Farmatodo has begun the pilot phase of CrediTodo, a proprietary financing program built on a buy-now-pay-later model.

The pharmacy chain Farmatodo has begun the pilot phase of CrediTodo, a proprietary financing program built on a buy-now-pay-later model, according to Diario Avance.
The system is integrated into the company's mobile app and covers transactions both on the digital platform and in physical stores. In this first phase, the tool is available exclusively to company staff, with plans to gradually extend its use to other customers.
The mechanism allows retailers to offer deferred payment on their products, making it easier to buy goods ranging from medicines to household items. Under this model, the merchant manages the payment facility directly at its point of sale.
For consumers, the scheme offers an additional way to spread the cost of essential purchases. The initial rollout is limited to the company's payroll, which will serve as a test group to evaluate how the system performs before it is opened to the public.
In the coming months, attention will turn to the progress of the technical trial and the final date on which the feature will become available to the country's other users.
