A business delegation made up of the Federation of Chambers and Associations of Commerce and Production of Venezuela (Fedecámaras) and the Venezuelan Exporters Association (AVEX) began an official tour of Europe on November 3 to boost foreign trade and position the country as a destination for international capital.
According to Fedecámaras President Felipe Capozzolo, the agenda includes visits to Spain, Italy, Belgium and Germany, accompanied by the diplomatic mission. The central proposal the business groups will present is called Infocus, a mechanism designed to formally invite European investors to bet on the Venezuelan market.
The tour began in Madrid within the framework of the 16th Ibero-American Business Meeting and will continue in Rome, Brussels and Hamburg. In the Belgian capital, the representatives will seek support for the Generalized System of Preferences for national exports, reinforcing the formal procedures already advanced by the country, according to information published by Banca y Negocios.
At the same time, the debate over attracting capital to productive sectors faces structural challenges at home. From other business forums, players in the mining sector have warned that consolidating new investments requires regulatory certainty and stable legal frameworks, as reported by Crónica Uno. Likewise, initiatives linked to the restructuring of corporate liabilities seek to bring creditors into the recovery of strategic areas, as indicated by the portal Descifrado.
