Brazilian business group LIDE is exploring its arrival in Venezuela following a meeting held in São Paulo between its executives and representatives of the firm Orinoco Research, according to AlbertoNews - Periodismo sin censura. The meeting between João Doria and João Doria Neto and the consultancy seeks to structure channels of cooperation between Brazilian corporations and investors in the Venezuelan market.
LIDE is an ecosystem of corporate leaders with international reach. According to the cited outlet's report, companies affiliated with the organization account for more than 52% of Brazil's private GDP. A possible expansion into the country would allow direct contacts to be built between Brazilian private capital and local projects.
This business overture comes against a backdrop of variable momentum for the Venezuelan economy. According to International Monetary Fund data, the country's real GDP grew 4.0% in 2023 and 5.3% in 2024, before slowing to 1.5% in 2025. For the coming years, the multilateral agency projects real GDP growth of 4.0% in 2026 and 6.0% in 2027.
For Venezuela's productive sector, the entry of a business network of this scale opens possibilities for strategic alliances and investment in key areas of the economy. The progress of this initiative will form part of regional discussions at the group's next summit, scheduled for November in Paraguay.
