Honduras: deficit of state power company tops $1.8 billion

The Secretariat of Finance (SEFIN) of Honduras reported that the accumulated debt of the Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (ENEE) with private thermal and solar power generators exceeded $1.8 billion, equivalent to 2.4% of GDP, and jeopardizes the public deficit targets agreed with multilateral institutions.
