La Guaira beaches to reopen October 31

Beaches in the state of La Guaira will resume their commercial and tourist activities starting this Saturday, October 31, 2026, according to the portal Banca y Negocios. The measure has the approval of the La Guaira state government and will apply to beach clubs whose boards of directors have signed the Commitment Agreement set by the authorities.

The reopening scheme provides for public access only on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. From Monday to Friday, the beaches will remain closed to allow service providers to continue their training programs and carry out recovery work on coastal facilities.

The repair and maintenance work along the coastal strip responds to severe structural damage caused by the double earthquake that struck La Guaira on June 24, as reported by the portal Bitácora Económica. The seismic event damaged tourism infrastructure and halted the economic activity of the area's beach communities.

Alongside the reopening of recreational spaces, the transport sector has pointed to the need to address mobility conditions to the coastal zone. According to information published by Crónica Uno, transport operators have demanded a national road recovery plan to repair the deterioration of highways and make it easier to move passengers.

The reactivation of the sector aims to revive income for families who depend on beach commerce after the period of operational suspension. The Cámara Turística Playera urged visitors to come responsibly, respect the rules set by service providers and help protect the environment.
