Moody's threatens to downgrade Panama's sovereign rating over social security deficit

The rating agency Moody's has placed Panama's sovereign debt rating on review for a possible downgrade, warning that the operating deficit of the pension subsystem of the Caja de Seguro Social (CSS) will approach $1.2 billion by the end of 2026.
