Road works stall leaves rural communities cut off

The Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV) admitted before Guatemala's Congress that budget execution for the repair of secondary roads has reached only a disappointing 34% at the close of the eighth month of the year, owing to bureaucratic obstacles and audits of inherited contracts.
