The La Guaira and Puerto Cabello terminals, run by Bolivariana de Puertos (Bolipuertos), are officially listed on the digital platforms of shipping lines Maersk, CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd, according to the portal Descifrado, which reported it on October 15, 2026.
The integration makes both port facilities visible and selectable in the operating systems of these lines, which operate in international maritime trade, easing the scheduling of port calls and document management, according to the information published.
The port facilities are connected to the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system, a platform designed to automate and speed up the exchange of operational and cargo information among port authorities, shipping lines and authorized agents.
With this visibility in the systems of the major shipping lines, Venezuela's foreign trade operations are exposed to the standard traceability and logistics control norms that govern global maritime traffic.
