Qatar Airways to launch Doha-Bogotá and Doha-Caracas flights in July
Qatar Airways will connect Doha with Bogotá and Caracas starting July 22, 2026.

Qatar Airways will connect Doha with Bogotá and Caracas starting July 22, 2026, according to the magazine Semana. The airline will operate two weekly flights, on Wednesdays and Sundays, becoming the first Gulf carrier to establish a direct connection with Venezuela and one of the few to link the Middle East with Colombia.
The expansion is part of the airline's strategy to broaden its global network of destinations and facilitate tourism, as well as trade between Latin America and the Middle East. The route will use Hamad International Airport in Doha as a hub to connect travelers with markets in Asia, Oceania and other regions.
The launch of these flights comes amid a recovery in international connectivity in the region. According to data published by Descifrado, trade between Venezuela and Colombia reached $873 million during the first eight months of 2026, an increase of 15% from the same period a year earlier.
The new connection aims to boost passenger traffic and strengthen commercial ties between the cities involved, at a time when several international airlines have resumed or increased flights to the Venezuelan market following the reopening of its airspace.
