Tigres snaps losing streak with win over Leones

The Tigres de Aragua beat the Leones del Caracas at Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar after holding off a dangerous home rally in the ninth inning. Left-handed pitcher Daniel Juárez struck out Aldrem Corredor in the decisive play, with the tying run on base, sealing the victory for the Aragua side.

The visiting team built a solid lead in the first half of the game, powered by timely hitting that included a home run from Gorkys Hernández and a contribution at the plate from Lorenzo Cedrola. Despite Aragua's early dominance, the Caracas lineup responded late with two consecutive rallies that narrowed the gap on the scoreboard.

The win on the mound was credited to reliever Edward Colina, while the loss fell on starter Connor Van Scoyoc. With this victory, the Aragua club ends its string of losses, following a sweep by the Cardenales de Lara the previous week.

Both teams will have an off day before resuming their commitments in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. Leones del Caracas will host the Tiburones de La Guaira in the capital, while Tigres de Aragua returns to Maracay to face the Navegantes del Magallanes.
